In Treatment
We got semi-hooked on the HBO online offering of In Treatment. A therapy playlet series each a half hour long. There is a lot to like. The emphasis on discussion, behavior, interaction, personal history. A refreshing focus — so simple and human-centered. And no car chases. The writing isn't as good as it might be, the insights not as insightful as you might want and the framing stories fairly conventional. Nevertheless, you sense the actor's love just sitting and acting and they do an excellent job.
They only have three weeks of the projected series online at this time and it's not clear they will leave them there, so if you are interested you probably want to check it out soon.
As Yogi Berra says, “Sometimes you can observe a lot just by watching.”
