YouandMeTube

So this YouTube upload is finally (at least for now) as good as I am going to try and get it:

After corresponding with Jason Snell and Dan Frakes at MacWorld, it looks like the upload converter and the size of the video itself conspires to lower the quality. If YouTube is concerned about file size they should offer uploaders the choice of Better Quality/No Sound or Medium Quality with Sound. At any rate, I discovered the rendering engine in Safari looks better than that of Firefox for YouTube videos.

It was nice of Jason and Dan to offer the feedback. Jason offered the idea of Google Video as an alternative, which allows for a larger output of 640×480.
