I went to the west coast to go to graduate school. I decided I would learn to make things. I baked my own bread. Iwent to a housebuilding school. I built crude furniture for the studio: an easel, a taboret, bookshelves. Crude but serviceable. I should have gotten a wider tape measure. Then it wouldn't bend when you measured things vertically.
